Building a Miniature Classic

This project involved aluminium bars, rods, and sheets, all sourced from metals4U. Using factory plans reduced to half scale and photos of honest Austin 7 Chummys, the customer carefully crafted each component. Since welding wasn't an option, the car was assembled entirely with tiny nuts and bolts,a testament to precision and patience.

The attention to detail is remarkable, capturing the charm and proportions of the original Austin 7 while maintaining a fully functional structure for a miniature ride-on car.

Powered by a Golf Trolley Motor

To make the build truly functional, the customer installed an electric motor from a golf trolley, complete with forward and reverse controls. The result is a lightweight, drivable mini car that brings joy to the grandchildren who get to experience it first-hand.
