Stainless Steel Reinforcing Bars / Rods
Stainless steel reinforcing bar properties and uses.
Stainless steel reinforcing bar or rod, is most commonly known as ReBar. We hold extensive stock in lengths up 6 metres and a range of diameters from 8mm to 25mm, all our stainless steel rebar stock is formed from 304 grade steel and has excellent weldability.
These steel rods are used to hold concrete and masonry structures in tension to provide strength. In the construction of bridges and structures, the use of stainless steel ReBar is often recommended as the addition of molybdenum to the mild steel during manufacture improves corrosion resistance properties, particularly in relation to pitting caused by solutions containing high levels of chloride.
If you are uncertain if you require mild steel reinforcement or stainless steel, we recommend you consult a structural specialist.
We also supply a comprehensive range of supports and spacers to complement our reinforcement products.
