metals4U is a highly successful business with over 20 years' experience of supplying trade and domestic customers with a wide range of metal and plastic products, including made to order items cut to size in our warehouse. Orders are received via the internet, processed by our customer service team based in our busy call centre and then prepared, packed and despatched by our warehouse team who work across a range of shift patterns.

What The Role Is About:

Working as part of the Customer Service team you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective service to our customers, performing daily administration tasks, order processing and updating our website and social media channels. You will be responding to customer enquiries both written and over the telephone ensuring the highest levels of customer service are provided. This role involves working closely with the warehouse team and requires you to have the ability to communicate across all levels.

An attitude and determination for exceeding customer expectations is essential and a willingness to work as part of a team to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing and checking orders received from customers via the internet, phone and email
  • Answering inbound calls in a courteous and professional manner and dealing with enquiries
  • Making outbound calls to update customers on the progress of orders
  • Responding to emails from customers in a timely manner
  • Checking stock availability and progressing urgent orders
  • Working in collaboration with the warehouse to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately
  • Investigating and resolving order/delivery discrepancies
  • Resolving customer complaints effectively and efficiently
  • Working as part of a Team to support each other and working together to enhance the Customer journey
  • Developing a knowledge and technical understanding of our products
  • To develop methods to use social media to drive business to the websites
  • General administrative duties

Reporting to the Team Leader, and ultimately the Customer Services Manager, the Customer Services Adviser will deal with all customers in a manner that ensures that the Customer Services function is delivering exceptional customer service day in day out. The role is about listening to what customers want, responding in the most effective way and continuously implementing our best practice service standards. Success will be measured through consistent delivery of our products and excellent customer feedback.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is bright and enthusiastic with customer service and administration experience. Good IT skills and strong communication skills are essential for this position, along with keen attention to detail, good problem-solving skills and excellent organisational ability. You will need initiative and a willingness and enthusiasm to learn and undertake training in order to be successful in this position. Salary: £10.38ph Including Shift Allowance (£21,640pa) + upto £1000 potential performance bonus

Orders are received via the internet, processed by our customer service team and then prepared, packed and despatched by our warehouse team who work across a range of shift patterns. The work is varied with the opportunity for gaining a range of skills, including machine operation and forklift truck driving, and progression to team leader.

An attitude and determination for exceeding customer expectations is essential and a willingness to work as part of a team to achieve outstanding results.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking to appoint a number of operatives to pick, pack and distribute orders. You will have the opportunity to undertake a wide range of duties including:

Responsibilities:

The role encompasses the following key duties:

  • Accurately picking, packing and checking orders
  • Loading vehicles for despatch of orders
  • Receiving stock deliveries - unloading, storage and stock allocation
  • Lifting and moving products up to 70kg in weight
  • Cutting made to measure items using a band saw and/or guillotine (full training provided)
  • Forklift truck driving (full training provided with qualification)
  • Keeping the working environment neat, clean and tidy
  • Adhering to strict health & safety rules at all times

You will be able to demonstrate a good work ethic, excellent standards of housekeeping, time keeping and attendance and be willing to learn new things. Previous experience is not essential.
