Installing the metals4U mobile web app
metals4U.co.uk has been specially designed to enable you to use it just like a mobile app without the hassle of installing it from the app store.
Iphone / Ipad Installation
At present, IPhones and IPads don't prompt users to install web apps automatically however you can still add our web-app to your home page manually - following these steps will allow you to launch the website directly from your phone's home screen. This will give you access to a specially optimised version of our website.
Please note the following process only applies to the Safari web browser on iPad and iPhone - the process may differ slightly on other browsers.
1 - Click the share icon (image)
2 - Choose 'Add to home screen' from the list of options
3 - Click confirm
You can now access the specially optimised metals4U web app directly from your home screen.
Installing our website app on Android
Please note the following process applies to the Chrome browser on Android devices - the process may differ slightly on other browsers.
When visiting our site you should be prompted to 'add to home screen'. Clicking this will allow you to install an icon on your phone which will give you quick access to our site and also make it faster to access products.
1 - When prompted - click to the 'Add to Home Screen' (You can also install the app manually from the browser menu and choosing 'install app').
2 - Click the install button
You can now access the specially optimised metasl4U web app directly from your home screen.
Removing the web app
You can uninstall the shortcut any time you like simply by holding down the icon then choosing 'Uninstall / Remove'.
