What are stainless steel screws and what are they used for?

Our fasteners range includes a comprehensive selection of stainless-steel screws.

We stock a range of Stainless-steel screws in grade A2 304 which is the most widely used grade as it has good corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties.

Stainless steel screws and fasteners are used where superior corrosion resistance is required, or where staining from rust could cause an unacceptable appearance, particularly in stone buildings and concrete.

Normally used for fixing items such as brackets to wood, fixing wood to wood, or for use with a plastic ‘rawl’ type plug to fix into stone or brickwork.

We carry stock in three main types.

Chippy stainless steel wood screws used extensively by the joinery and building trade because of their excellent performance and value for money.

Recessed wood screws for use with a cross head screwdriver.

Slotted countersunk stainless-steel screws, the traditional style for use with a flat head screwdriver.

All our stainless steel screws are available in convenient and economically sized packs from stock for a quick delivery.

Order your stainless-steel screws from metals4U.
