From Stainless Steel to Sculpture: Roger's Life-Size Roe Deer

We love seeing the incredible projects our customers create with metals4U materials, and Roger's latest sculpture is a fantastic example of stainless steel's versatility.

Commissioned by Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company, Roger was asked to create a life-size roe deer sculpture for permanent display in the new town centre park.

The finished sculpture is a striking piece of public art, designed to become a permanent part of the local community and surroundings.

Roger's First Stainless Steel Sculpture

For Roger, the project was particularly exciting as it was his first-ever stainless steel sculpture.

To create the roe deer, Roger used various gauges of 316 stainless steel round bar, supplied by metals4U. Working with different gauges allowed him to create the structure and intricate details needed to achieve the shape and proportions of a life-size deer.

316 stainless steel suits projects where durability and corrosion resistance matter, making it a practical choice for a sculpture intended to remain outdoors permanently.

Bringing the Roe Deer to Life
