We are constantly amazed by our customers' creativity and ambition, and this latest project is a perfect example. One of our incredible customers has built a dual-purpose aluminium structure for their self-built camper van, designed to serve both function and adventure.

What started as a need for added security during international shipping has transformed into something much more exciting: a multi-functional piece that will double as a roof rack platform for a breathtaking 3-year road trip from Alaska to Argentina!

Built to Travel the World

To bring this project to life, Ben sourced several key aluminium products from us, including:

The screen’s primary function is to protect the camper van during shipping to Canada, offering peace of mind while the truck crosses the ocean. But the real innovation comes afterwards—once in North America, this screen will convert into a roof rack platform, supporting extra gear, solar panels, or scenic rooftop chill spots as the van rolls down through two continents.

This kind of ingenuity inspires the DIY van life community, and we are proud to provide high-quality, adaptable materials to join the movement.
