Please note that the diameter of this product has a tolerance of +/- 0.5mm
‘Black Mild’ is not truly black in colour, and this item is not usually considered suitable for decorative use. We use the name 'Black Mild' as it is the correct industry term for this variety of mild steel. The colour can vary from grey to dark charcoal but will never be truly black. In this respect, we can make no guarantee as to the consistency of the colour of this item.
What is the difference between black and bright mild steel rod, we have purchased the bright steel rod from you previously, Thanks!
Black Mild is a lower grade, and due to the way it is formed/cooled has greater variation in tolerance/straightness than bright mild, which undergoes further processing after it is produced. Black Mild is a generic, cheap option for when precision is not required. Bright Mild is also less brittle, so easier to shape/bend.

The weight of the item is in the 'More Information' section of the webpage in question, in this case 0.22kg/m, so 3m would be 0.66kg. Delivery is 1-4 working days.
Hello, How hard is it to bend 6mm mild steel round? would i be able to do it by hand? I would need them U shaped.
Thank you
Hello, unfortunately this is not something we would be able to advise as we do not fabricate ourselves. We would recommend checking this with someone that works with metal to make sure you could do this. Apologies we could not help further.
