What is galvanised mild steel pipe and what is it used for?
Our stock of galvanised steel pipe is supplied in BS1387 grade mild steel that has been hot dip galvanised treated.
br>Please note: Nominal Bore (NB) is an industry-standard pipe size designation and does not indicate the actual internal diameter. For example, 1" NB pipe has a 33.7mm outside diameter, with the actual internal diameter determined by the wall thickness. The actual bore will generally be greater than the nominal 25.4mm (1") size. This industry-standard sizing is used across pipe and fittings, so a 1" NB does not mean a 25.4mm internal diameter.Galvanised steel pipe has excellent corrosion resistance, and good machinability and formability properties.
Galvanised steel pipe is often used for railing applications and compressed air installations.
