Buy stainless steel pipes online from Metals4u™ or Phone 01937 534318, huge stock available for a quick delivery. Our steel pipes are cut as pieces or full lengths, and are designed primarily for the transport of liquids or gasses. The relatively thick wall sections available make its use in fabrications and architectural projects common. Although normally supplied mill finish steel pipes can be dull / satin polished or bright polished and are regularly seen in high end shop fitting and residential projects.
The sizes listed bear little resemblance to the actual dimensions. The stainless steel pipe measurement is shown as Nominal Bore (NB) in inches (this is not the actual dimension but an approximate internal dimension for a standard wall schedule) and a schedule which relates to the wall thickness.
size chart

Stainless steel pipe sizes are available in grades 304 and 316

304 is the standard commercial grade, good corrosion resistance and good machinability

316 has much better corrosion resistance and is recommended for food or marine environments.

    Dedicated sales team

I am a total novice when it comes to metal. Grade 304 or 316 just baffled me. When I called they talked me through how I would only need 316 if I was on the coast or using it in the sea. Living in London this wasn't an issue so we went with 304 which is cheaper too. Very patient salesman and the material arrived quickly and was up to scratch.

    bunk poles

Hi. I need to make a hammock bunk in a campervan (a bit like a stretcher or camp bed). I would like to use 2 aluminium poles slotted into a fabric hammock. The length is 2.06m. It needs to be 32mm diameter pipe to fit the brackets. It needs to be strong enough to support the weight of a big teenager or adult. Do you stock anything suitable? I assume it would need to be very thick walled aluminium in order not to flex under the weight.
    Many thanks
    Claire

Hi, the thickest 32mm aluminium tube we do is 3.2mm wall, this will flex a bit over a two metre span, depends on how much flex you can accept.
