Stainless kick plates are a popular form of kick plate due to the high corrosion resistance and professional look of the material. The dull polished finish gives the door a decorative look that is much better than a dirty or dented alternative.
What gives the stainless an edge over other materials is its corrosion resistance. A satin anodised aluminium sheet could get scratched which would need to be repaired or leave the material open to corrosion. If a stainless kick plate is scratched the material will not corrode and the scratch can be polished out.
The grade of stainless we use is 304, which is the standard grade used for kick plates. It can also be readily formed and welded. If you work in a marine or coastal environment and feel you would benefit from a marine grade stainless steel then we do offer 316 grade stainless. This can be found here
We offer all standard sizes of kick plate, though we offer custom cutting to ensure we can definitely supply the material you need. If you have any queries regarding our kick plates then please get in touch, we have a dedicated team of customer service advisors ready to help you.
