Extra Long Curtain Pole (5m)
We have a set of 5m Bifold Doors and we needed a curtain pole that spanned the length. We tried to "bodge" an extra long curtain pole using two "normal" sets from Homebase - but this wasn't very secure and the poles would flex/bend whenever we opened and closed the curtains. I found Metals 4 U supplied metal poles and they could cut to size. The pole was quite cheap, wrapped and protected well and delivered within a few days. We replaced the curtain pole and though up close it isn't the smoothest and my curtain rings are scratching it - but who cares! Standing on the ground it looks like any curtain pole! And the most important thing: it is secure and strong (our curtains are very heavy) and the pole doesn't warp or bend when we open and close the curtains (unlike our bodge job). And - on the plus side - our old curtain finials fit the ends so didn't have to buy new ends! So yeah, really happy!

Really helpful and responsive company
There were problems with bent rods being delivered by DX but metals4U reponded quickly and helpfully, sending one item out 3 times (and packing it with great care) to make sure I got what I had ordered. The rods were perfect for the arches I have built on our allotment

Metal and connectors delivered late
Metal and connectors delivered as ordered but the delivery service had to make three attempts to find our entrance to the driveway in a postcode area of only twenty houses, delaying the delivery by three days. Project thus held up.
