All the actions taken by the user of the website are the responsibility of the individual.

Payment and Price

The total price payable for the goods will be stated at the time you place your order, whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier's prices, any taxes or duties imposed, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices on our website are exclusive of VAT and of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.

We reserve the right to apply a delivery surcharge on orders that are heavy, long or being delivered to a non-mainland UK address. If additional charges apply, we will contact you prior to the order being dispatched at which point you will have the option to pay the surcharge or cancel the order.

Please note that metals4U does not offer shipping outside the United Kingdom and therefore VAT is applied on all orders. In the event that you make your own arrangements to ship goods outside of UK and request a VAT refund then a £20 admin charge will be payable.

Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes, or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account to the value of the incorrect price paid (including delivery charges).

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. On the order you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number - the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. You may also pay by bank transfer although we cannot dispatch the goods until payment has been cleared. We also accept the following payment methods PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay and Google Pay. When using these payment methods, your address details must be what is stated on your payment account, so please ensure that these details are correct.

Availability of Goods

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason, we will not charge you for these and we will refund any payment already made for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.

Clearance / Discounted Items

Clearance Items are only available while existing stocks last. Due to the time lapse in our systems orders may still be taken after stock has run out. In the event this happens, any payment made will be refunded. We may, however, be able to order in new stock but this would be at the non-discounted price.

Changing or Cancelling an Order

If you realise you have placed an order that is incorrect, then please call us immediately on 01937 534318 during our office working hours so that we can attempt to cancel it before it is cut and despatched. However, due to our quick delivery lead-times, we are unable to guarantee this. If the order is not custom cut (you have not used the website's custom cutting facility or specified cutting instructions either in the order notes or by other means) you will need to refer to our Returns policy for returning unwanted goods.

Delivery Times

Delivery of products within UK (stock items) will normally be made within 2-4 working days from clearance of payment. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position and you should allow up to 28 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 28 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.

Risk

As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery. For your security, all deliveries must be signed for or they will not be left. Please remember to inspect the condition and quantity of your package/goods before signing for them. Claims for missing or damaged products will be rejected if they have been signed for "Received in GOOD CONDITION". If items arrive damaged then we advise that you take a photo of the damaged items and refuse delivery. The courier will then mark the consignment as damaged and arrange for the items to be returned to us.

In the event that goods are returned to us because they were not signed for, we will not be liable for any loss sustained by you and will contact you to arrange payment, by you, of a further carriage charge before we are obliged to attempt redelivery the items to you.
